ABOUT THE ARTIST
MICHAEL NOETH (1971– 2001) of Jackson Heights, New York was an illustrator/draftsman second class with the U.S. Navy who was killed in the Pentagon attack on September 11th, 2001.
A gifted artist from childhood who went on to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, Mr. Noeth’s paintings vividly depict nautical themes and his life experiences on tour with United States Navy. He was working on portraits of all the chiefs of naval operations throughout U.S. history, which were to hang in the Pentagon, where he was stationed.
